IGNOU Scholarship 2024: Indira Gandhi National Open University, one of the greatest open universities in the world helps its students by offering them scholarships. IGNOU Scholarship Amount 2024 – IGNOU provides scholarships to its candidates. IGNOU has provided its candidates with a Scholarship in amount of 50,000.

IGNOU Scholarship Category for General

IGNOU Scholarship – The candidates of the General Category are also eligible for scholarships. They can easily apply for scholarships at National Scholarship Portal. The candidates whose annual family income is less than one lakh rupee can apply for the scholarship.

How to apply for IGNOU Scholarship-Offline

The candidates of the category of Scheduled Class, Schedule Tribes, Weaver Communities, transgender, jail inmates, and physically handicapped can apply for the facility of Scholarship. The following steps describe the way to apply for the scholarship

• Step1: Candidates can go to the Directorate of Social Welfare or Office of the Social welfare and collect the Scholarship forms from there.
• Step2: After taking the form the candidate needs to fill in all the details in the form.
• Step3: Submit the filled-in form to the Regional Director at the Regional Office where he has taken admission.
• Step4: Collect the certified form of IGNOU Scholarship from the Regional Office
• Step5: Go and submit the form to the Social Welfare Officer or the Directorate of Social Welfare in their respective states.

IGNOU Scholarships 2024 Online Application Procedure

The candidates should go to these official websites for applying for the IGNOU Scholarship.

• Step1: Go to the official website of IGNOU: ignou.ac.in
• Step2: The candidate must search the tab “About IGNOU”
• Step3: The candidate has to press it and then a drop-down list will appear.
• Step4: From the list, the candidate has to select the “Institutes / Centres / Cells / Units / Link to know about IGNOU Scholarship Status.
• Step5: Then on the next page candidate must select the “Research Unit (RU)” link.
• Step6: Then select the “Scholarship” tab and get details about IGNOU Scholarship.
• Step7: Select and press the tab of “Guidelines and Terms of IGNOU RF link”.
• Step8: Candidates are required to read the complete IGNOU RF Fellowship Notification carefully.
• Step9: Then the candidate needs to press on “Application Form of IGNOU-RF-Annexure-A” and download the format of the application form.
• Step10: Candidates should attach a photograph and other essential documents or certificates with the application form.
• Step11: Take a printout IGNOU scholarship form and put in the envelope and send it to the following address.
• Postal Address: “Director, Research Unit, CAB Building, Maidan Garhi, New Delhi-110068”

Documents to be attached with the IGNOU Scholarship Form

• Academic record – attested copies of relevant certificates/mark sheets for the qualifying examination.
• Proof of annual income – Proof of income shall include last salary slip of parent/guardian, acknowledgment of income tax/income certificate e from revenue official/gazetted officer/public representative e.g. MP, MLA, MLC, Panchayat officials, etc.;
• Course fee receipt if any, duly paid during the academic session;
• Attested copy of Aadhar Card
• In case of continuation of scholarship in a succeeding year, a copy of the mark sheet of the preceding year.

IGNOU Admission Apply Online

IGNOU Scholarships for PG courses

The candidates for the PG courses can avail of the Scholarship of the National Centre for Promotion of Employment of Disabled People (NCPEDP). This scholarship is available for the students of the Post Graduate Level. The facility of scholarship offered by this agency is only available to the candidates of IGNOU only. The candidates can directly apply to the awarding authority.

Candidates of Scheduled Class, Schedule Tribes, Weaver Communities, transgender, jail inmates, and physically handicapped can avail the facility of either the fee waiver, exemption, or scholarship. These scholarships are offered by UGC or MHRD or Various State governments or Government Departments. For registration and to see the eligibility criteria the candidates can directly approach these agencies.

The candidate who wishes to use the facility of IGNOU Scholarship should fill out their form and complete the rest of the formalities before the 30th of November 2022. This is the last date for submission of the filled-in form.
