IGNOU BAHIH Program Detailed Information

Indira Gandhi National Open University has launched Bachelor of Arts (Honours) History (BAHIH). This course covers the ancient to modern histories of India and Europe. Traditions of History writing in India gives the candidates an overview of the ways the Historians made peculiar ways of writing history.

Candidates get an in-depth knowledge of how transitions in culture and civilization affect the polity, economy, religion, society, science, and technology during the period. The course presents historical analysis along the lines of how the evidence is sought and understood and how the explanation is forwarded. Candidates can interpret the evidence and can draw up calculations on it.
