Indira Gandhi Open University has launched Bachelor of Arts (Honours) Economics (BAECH). The course has been planned in such a way to give the candidate an overview of the producer as well as the consumer. Factors such as resources, production quantity, and consumer needs and demands have been focussed.

The new Microeconomics course introduced in BAECH of IGNOU gives the candidates an overview of the individuals involved in the process of production, their efficiencies. Apart from it, candidate is given knowledge of the market and the factors that affect the rise and fall of the market.  The Honors of Economy makes the candidates answer, how consumers make their purchasing decisions and how their choices are affected by changing prices and incomes, etc. So, a total sum of all the aspects of the market are covered in BAECH course
